NCS Wins Second Place in Science Olympiad State Competition

After a terrific showing by NCS in the Science Olympiad regionals on March 28 (click here for that story), members of the NCS varsity team scaled even greater heights, winning second place in the small school division of the Maryland state tournament on April 11 at Johns Hopkins.

“This is incredible for a first-year team,” said coach/teacher Susan Karpatkin. “We were competing against many teams who have been at his tournament for years. We are a force to be reckoned with now!”
