Jeryne Fish '15 Earns All American Honors

Jeryne Fish ’15 will compete this weekend in the U.S. Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Oregon, earning her place in an elite field with an outstanding performance June 21 at the New Balance Nationals in Greensboro, N.C.

On her final attempt, Fish jumped 19 feet 10 ¾ inches in the long jump to claim fourth place in the New Balance meet and earn All-American honors. The leap, her career best, also surpassed the standard needed to compete June 26 in Eugene, Ore.

Her performance and the invitation to the junior nationals continues a memorable June for Fish: Last week she was named the Gatorade District of Columbia Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year for 2014-2015.

She will attend the University of Michigan this fall and has accepted a track and field scholarship to compete for the Wolverines.
