National Cathedral School Educating Women for the World

The Health and Wellness team and the Parents Association will present a very important program on Internet Safety beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3 in Hearst Auditorium.   Iris Beckwith (check her out at www.connectED4safety.com)  will meet with parents, to talk about internet issues that you need to address, as parents, with your daughters.  Join us on March 3 for this informative program.

All parents are invited to take part in the next Diversity Book Group meeting on February 17 at 6:30 pm in Hearst Auditorium. In its second year, this program was begun to give members of the NCS community a new way to meet each other, and focus on topics of diversity as it relates to our girls’ educations. For the Feb. 17 meeting, we will be discussing the 2003 New York Times Notable Book Award winner Mountains Beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder, which chronicles Dr. Paul Farmer’s social justice campaign for health care in Haiti. Given the current crisis and humanitarian responses in Haiti, this book is particularly relevant to topics of discussion today.
