Evening Housekeeper

National Cathedral School seeks a full-time evening housekeeper to begin on or around March 25, 2024. This position is scheduled to work from 3pm to 11pm Monday through Friday with some flexibility required. We are looking for an applicant who is punctual, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, and can work as part of a team by balancing team and individual responsibilities. 

The main duties and responsibilities are: 
 
  • Clean assigned areas by washing, dusting, and/or polishing, windows, tiles, fixtures, equipment, floors, and furnishings.  
  • Vacuum and shampoo carpets; as well as dust, mop, strip, and wax floors. 
  • Sanitize and disinfect bathroom areas; restock paper and soap supplies. 
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. 
  • Assist with the replacement and removal of chairs, tables, lecterns, and other furnishings for events as directed. 
The minimum qualifications are: 
  • High School diploma or equivalency preferred. 
  • At least five years of custodial/housekeeping experience. 
  • Relevant experience in operating and maintaining cleaning equipment.
