At NCS, we believe students benefit when they make room for both study and exercise. Research shows that physical activity helps develop neural pathways and reduce stress, so every day our students are moving: playing, exercising, having fun, and learning in the process.

Our physical education curriculum includes several non-competitive options: conditioning classes; climbing and paddling through the Voyageur program; and Zumba, hip-hop dance, Pilates, and yoga through our dance program.

In these classes, students take risks and push themselves to new accomplishments. This helps them build confidence, learn how to work with others, and recover from setbacks.

Personal fitness is a life skill, and we are proud of the hundreds of alumnae who discovered a love of exercise at NCS and made it a part of their everyday lives.
