To compete at the highest level, athletes need the best possible facilities, and the Agnes C. Underwood Athletic Center provides this support for NCS student-athletes.

This 90,000-square-foot facility includes two turf fields, four courts, a fitness and weight-training room, an indoor jogging track, dance studios, and locker rooms. But what immediately catches a visitor's eye is the top of the 50-foot free-standing climbing wall. Used by Voyageur athletes, this tower rises through the center of the facility.

Ferguson Field and Nazareth Field
Our two turf fields are home to our field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, and softball programs. They are arranged in a way that allows two games to take place simultaneously.

Schifter Court
The home of our varsity basketball and volleyball teams, with plenty of room for spectators. Schifter is also where we display championship banners and Gatorade Player of the Year banners, providing testimony to our proud history of athletic accomplishment.

France-Merrick Fitness & Weight Room
Here, students develop individualized workout plans, whether for a specific sport or for general fitness. They can utilize thousands of pounds of free weights, 30 training stations, speed-development and plyometric equipment, and a full range of cardiovascular machines, ranging from treadmills and rowers to stair-steppers and elliptical machines.

Kapani Three-Court Gym
Adjacent to Schifter Court, these regulation-size courts are used for team practices and physical education classes. Circling above the courts is an indoor track.

Dance Studio
Located across from the fitness and weight room, this studio is home to the NCS Dance Team and our renowned dance program. The studio is also used for pilates and yoga instruction.

Coordinate Facilities
Through our coordinate program with St. Albans School, NCS athletes also use some of STA's facilities: track and field compete at Steuart Field, swimming at Lawrence Pool, and tennis at STA's new clay-court complex.
